BLAINE — Road crews will close all lanes of Pacific Highway near the truck route border crossing today while they install two sign bridges, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Crews will close all lanes twice for 15 minutes each time between H Street and the border. The closures will occur between noon and 4 p.m.

Drivers wishing to avoid the closures should use the Peace Arch crossing on Interstate 5.

The freestanding bridges will hold signs directing drivers to the proper lanes to use the new D Street interchange. The interchange is expected to open later this month.
