Blackbreath’s loud, hardcore sound is all raw metal that keeps people going to its live shows. But with no plans for gigs on the horizon, the band is working on its full-length album to be released late winter or early spring. A little over a year ago Blackbreath released a demo EP and toured with it twice.

The band members live in Bellingham, with the exception of vocalist Neil McAdams, who lives in Seattle. In addition to McAdams, the band is Byrum on drums, Brian Slodysko on guitar, Zack Muljat on guitar and Elijah Nelson on bass.

The band’s sound became what it is — an homage to Swedish and Japanese hardcore music — when Muljat and Byrum joined up two years ago. A few of the bands’ influences include Deathside, Anti-Cimex, Motorhead and Bastard.
