The Western Washington University football team signed another linebacker to a scholarship offer on Tuesday to help fill a position that was hit hard by injuries and graduation.

Jonathon Ve’e, a middle linebacker from Laney College in Oakland, Calif., will play for the Vikings next season after earning Junior College All-America honors last year. Ve’e, who is 6-foot-2, 250 pounds, should be a physical presence in the middle for Western. He collected 75 tackles as a sophomore and 77 as a freshman.

The Vikings signed another linebacker, Derek Diaz, last week.
